Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and Archaeological City Tour (11,152 ft)
Your adventure begins with a personalized reception at the airport or bus station. We will provide a private transfer to your selected hotel for a quick check-in. Cusco is located at a high altitude, so staying hydrated is vital for proper acclimation. In the afternoon, at 1:00 PM, we will begin the City Tour through the historic center and the city's monumental surroundings.
We will first visit the Plaza de Armas and the imposing Cusco Cathedral. We will also explore the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), the most sacred religious site of the empire. Later, we head to nearby archaeological sites: the cyclopean fortress of Sacsayhuamán and the mystical ceremonial center of Qenqo.
